In the first fixture of the night, U Mumba inched out the Thailavas to win by two points to advance their chances to qualify for the playoffs. Mumba led for the most part of the game, which was likely due to their efforts in the first half as they got 15 points lead at the end of the first half. They gave two all outs to the Thailavas in the first half as the first half ended at 26-11.

In the second half, the Thailavas made a brilliant comeback, inflicting two all-out on Mumba. However, that wasn’t enough for TT to get a lead as the opposition secured their lead by scoring crucial tackle points.

The star raider for Mumba was yet again Abishek Singh. For the Thailavas, Manjeet and Ajinkya Pawar both scored seven raid points each.

Fazel Atrachali, Rahul and Rinku scored three tackle points each for the Mumba in defence. For the Thailavas, Sagar got four tackle points.

This win has put U Mumba on the fifth spot in the points table. The Thalaivas remained eighth.

In the second game of the night, UP Yoddha beat Telugu Titans by 39-35. It was a come from behind victory for the Yoddhas as they were trailing going into the last couple of minutes, but the inexperience of the Titans meant that the Yoddhas were able to inflict an all-out in the dying seconds and take a three-point lead.

Titans’ Rajneesh scored a Super 10, and Sandeep Khandola got three tackle points. On the other hand, for the Yoddhas, Surinder Gill got 12 raid points, and he was supported effectively by Shrikant Jhadav, who finished with eight raid points.

Following their first win after a string of four straight losses, UP Yoddha occupy the sixth position in the PKL points table. Last-placed Titans, in turn, are still looking for their second win of the season.

Haryana Steelers, meanwhile, overcame Jaipur Pink Panthers by 35-28. The star for the Steelers was their captain Vikas Khandola yet again as he continued his rich vein of form and scored a total of 10 raid points.

Mohit and Jaideep took care of defence for the Steelers as they scored three and four tackle points, respectively.

Arjun Deswal couldn’t get going for the Panthers, and that could be one reason why they eventually suffered a defeat. Deepak Hooda tried his best, but his efforts went in vain. The skipper of the Panthers, Sandeep Dhull, scored six tackle points, but those were not enough to stop the Steelers from winning the game.

The Steelers are now at the fourth position. The Panthers are seventh on the points table.
